A-insinöörit / Construction management
A-insinöörit’s clients value a partner who anticipates their needs, keeps commitments and helps projects succeed. Within the organisation, the desire to improve is reflected in sharing expertise and offering constructive peer support. Menestyksen Portaat™ brings these elements together into a shared direction: client success, employee development and business success are built through the same everyday work.
Clients’ willingness to recommend the company and employee energy have strengthened over the long term. The business has grown profitably and employee numbers have increased. Developing a shared culture accompanies this growth as part of the work to strengthen the conditions for success.
Menestyksen Portaat puts strategy into practice
For A-insinöörit, Menestyksen Portaat captures the essence of the strategy: why the work matters, how people succeed together and what they can promise clients and colleagues. It provides a shared direction for experienced specialists and new employees alike.
The foundations were built with Rokmind in 2016, when client feedback revealed that both praise and requests for improvement were linked to ways of working. Together with employees, the company defined the attitudes and actions that help clients succeed. A-insinöörit has since kept the principles in use and developed them as the organisation has evolved.
The framework is part of induction, recruitment, training, client work and collaboration between teams. Even job applicants learn about the working culture they would be joining. At work, people return to the shared principles through practical questions: how do they show up in this project, and what could we do better?
Revenue and margins result from doing the right things
At the heart of Menestyksen Portaat is helping the client succeed. That means considering both the project and the person commissioning it: their goals, their responsibilities and their confidence that they can do their job well.
Attention is directed towards what makes success possible: doing the right things with expertise, the right attitude and passion, maintaining excellent quality and keeping a shared focus. Revenue and margins are the result of this whole.
Success also belongs to employees and project partners. When their expertise helps a client move forward, the meaning of their work becomes visible. Successes and positive feedback strengthen professional pride and the desire to improve. A satisfied client may in turn continue the relationship and recommend it to others. This is the positive cycle that the shared culture seeks to build.
Clients experience culture through reliable action
Client feedback in 2026 praises budget and schedule management, responsibility and professional expertise. Challenges are addressed proactively, collaboration focuses on solutions and the client’s goals are taken into account. Clients see the value in the way their projects are looked after.
The same purpose connects client work and employee development. The value the company aims to create for clients is also reflected in what new colleagues learn during induction and the behaviours encouraged in teams. Strategy gains substance in an ordinary working day.
Ambition shows in the desire to help others
Developing the feedback culture has made constructive peer support a more natural part of working together. Developmental feedback is no longer always seen as a separate feedback conversation: people look for better solutions together, refine their work and help colleagues move forward.
Attention is directed towards the next success. In this way of thinking, a good working community and high ambitions belong together. The aim is a culture in which people want to develop their own expertise and do better together. A sense of achievement also comes from small decisions and everyday milestones.
Growth brings new people into shaping a shared direction
Menestyksen Portaat was renewed with Rokmind in 2025. An employee survey and discussions within business units showed that it was still seen as important and alive in everyday work. Many current employees, however, had not taken part in defining the original framework.
The update gave the current workforce the opportunity to shape shared ways of working themselves. The inspiring goal remained, while the ways of achieving it were developed to reflect the larger organisation, changes in the operating environment and higher standards of work. New colleagues could therefore do more than learn about the shared culture: they could help shape it.
Rokmind partnered with A-insinöörit in both the original development and the renewal. At A-insinöörit, the agreed ways of working are used and developed as part of daily work. That sustained effort is visible today: the shared direction helps the company welcome new colleagues, develop collaboration and meet client expectations.
Revenue and margins are outcomes. Helping clients succeed and strengthening employees’ ability and desire to do their work well are everyday commitments.
