Confidence in presenting and communicating effectively
Tatu Arminen joins Rokmind’s coaching team. He is an actor and a presentation and communication coach. Through his coaching, he helps leaders, managers, sales professionals and specialists get their message across, develop a persuasive pitch and communicate with greater confidence even when they feel nervous.
When a leader communicates a change to staff or a salesperson presents a solution to a client, both the content of the message and the way it is delivered matter. Tatu helps people rehearse these situations so that their expertise comes through and they stay connected with their audience.
Make your own presentation style a strength
Actors deliberately practise presence, expression and connection with another person. Tatu brings this approach to rehearsal into presentations and communication at work. Coaching might involve clarifying the structure of a presentation, practising voice and physical expression, or preparing for an important client presentation.
The focus is on finding a way of presenting that draws on each participant’s own strengths. Participants have space to experiment and receive feedback on how their message comes across. Practice is connected to situations they encounter in their own work.
A persuasive pitch for leaders and sales professionals
When time is limited, the value of an idea needs to be expressed clearly and concisely. Tatu’s coaching also covers developing and delivering a persuasive pitch: turning an idea, a solution or personal expertise into a clear, engaging presentation that is relevant to the listener.
For leaders, pitching skills might mean being able to make the case for a proposal or present a new direction. In sales, the focus is on explaining which client need a solution addresses and the benefits it offers. Participants develop their pitch, rehearse it aloud and refine it through feedback.
Confidence when nerves arise
Presentation nerves are one of Tatu’s central coaching themes. Participants explore their own relationship with presenting, practise preparation and develop ways to respond in situations that make them nervous.
The aim is to strengthen confidence in their own abilities: to speak up, communicate what matters and keep going when something unexpected happens. Tatu’s calm and encouraging approach supports this practice.
Acting expertise and an entrepreneurial background
Tatu graduated with a master’s degree in acting from East 15 Acting School in London in 2025. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership from TAMK’s Proakatemia. His acting credits include the television series Rantabaari (seasons 4–6), Helsinki-syndrooma (season 2), Lahti 2001 and Koskinen (season 2). His background also includes sales, running a café business and peacekeeping duties.
During his master’s studies, Tatu explored how a solo performer can create a dramaturgically clear solo performance for an audience.
